We present a wide variety of beautiful, elegant music to enhance the ambience of your special day; from the most popular requests, such as Pachelbel’s ‘Canon’ and Handel’s ‘The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba’, to classical and jazz arrangements of music by composers such as Mozart and Vivaldi, and Cole Porter and George Gershwin.
Our diverse repertoire of classical favourites and modern arrangements is suitable for all types of wedding ceremonies and receptions. We can provide a special piece of music for a part of the ceremony itself, and/or a more continuous medley during the drinks reception and wedding breakfast. We would be pleased to discuss a musical ‘menu’ with you, and include any of your own personal favourites, if you so wish.
Based in London, all players trained at major Conservatoires. We are experienced in many musical fields and have played for major orchestras, recording sessions and West End musical theatre productions. Some of the members have backed distinguished artists such as Katherine Jenkins and Dame Shirley Bassey for live concerts and TV broadcasts.
Having established the quartet in 1996, we have performed for many different special occasions, such as weddings at Chiswick House, corporate events at Tower Bridge, and on board a cruise ship off the coast of Alaska
“An enchanting, magical evening”, “a very accomplished presentation” – two of the many enthusiastic comments we received following our recent, more formal recital for the Stuart Low Trust. (We performed a Haydn String Quartet followed by arrangements of ‘Anything Goes’, ‘Pennies from Heaven’ and ‘Por una Cabeza’).
We were delighted to be asked to contribute to a Breast Cancer Charity event at St. Paul’s Cathedral, where we played for the Champagne Reception.
We have a basic fee structure which we can discuss with you. It is flexible to accommodate your requirements on the day.
We also enjoy performing as a trio (violin, viola, cello) or duo (violin and cello), and in combination with other instruments – for example flute or oboe. This is sometimes popular especially in a smaller venue.
We are looking forward to playing and to meeting you at The Wedding Show.
