1. Talk to suppliers
Make a note of the exhibitors that you would like to talk to before the show and make a beeline for their stands to discuss your wedding requirements. As well as showcasing their services, businesses will be available to offer their words of advice – after all, these are the industry experts. If you’re interested in what they offer, make sure you pick up their leaflets and business cards and follow up straight after the show (whether you’re ready to book their services, or not) so that they have your contact details on file.
2. Bring magazine cuttings and pictures
A scrap book or images saved to your phone is a great way of communicating to the exhibitors exactly what you’re looking for. If your Pinterest account is bursting at the seams with inspirational images, then install the app on your phone so that you can share your ideas with suppliers.
3. Enter competitions
It could be your lucky day, so make sure you enter as many competitions as possible. Whether the prize is big or small, every little helps to creating your dream wedding day. 5. Wear flats
Last but definitely not least, make sure you wear flat shoes – or at least pack a pair for later in the day. Wedding shows are fun, entertaining and exciting events but you’ll be stood up for most of it and doing a lot of walking, so think about your feet and treat them to some TLC with a pair of cosy boots or pretty pumps.”
