Ashlee Simpson to wed next week?

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz's wedding could be taking place next week, according to reports.

Hollyscoop.com claims that the couple have sent out invites to their family and friends for an event on May 16th.

The site adds that the Fall Out Boy star and his songstress bride-to-be are keeping most of the details surrounding their big day a secret.

A source said: "The location will not be revealed until the day of the wedding but guests are told it will be an hour drive from Los Angeles."

The couple got engaged earlier this month and publicised their good news via Pete's website, saying that they wanted their fans to be the first to know.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Ashlee's big sister Jessica was hoping to beat her down the aisle.

A source told Star magazine: "She'd love nothing more than to get married before Ashlee."

Jessica is currently dating US football player Tony Ramo.
