Bride sheds pounds to wear her Fat Friends frock

A bride was so desperate to wear her dream wedding dress that she lost two stone after seeing it on eBay.

Collette Woodyatt had seen the dress, as worn by actress Gaynor Faye, on ITV drama Fat Friends, and fell in love with it immediately, reported the Daily Mirror.

Despite not being the same size as Gaynor, 31-year-old Collette was over the moon when she saw the gown in a Cancer Research charity auction on eBay and decided to buy it anyway.

"It was just how I pictured my dream dress, so I started bidding," she explained.

The Maggie Sottero bridal gown, which was originally priced at £2,000 was sold to Collette for just £235 in the end.

After losing the necessary pounds, she went on to wed her fiance Vincent Booth, 33 in Plumbley in Cheshire, the newspaper noted.

Ironically, the series which the dress appeared followed a number of overweight friends and their attempts to lose their excess fat.
