Brit brides take up 'trash the dress' trend
Brides are now choosing to ruin their wedding dresses and follow a new trend where they completely trash their gowns.
The trend originated in Los Angeles after a photographer persuaded some of his clients to pose in unusual environments in a bid to capture more edgy and unusual photographs, reports the Scotsman.
More and more brides are now reported to be opting to splatter their dresses with mud, wade out to sea or splash about in a fountain.
One Scottish woman, Louise Gilfillan, stood behind her husband's 4X4 on a beach while the spinning wheels covered her in mud.
She told the newspaper: "I didn't really fancy being one of those brides keeping their wedding dress locked away in a box. It was great fun and a really good laugh destroying the dress."
This follows news that a bride in Scotland's father designed and made her ideal wedding dress for her after numerous shopping trips failed to produce her ideal gown.
