Burger bonanza for married couple
A bride and groom provided plenty of wedding entertainment when they topped their big day by with a special cake, the Daily Mirror has reported.
Norfolk couple, firefighter Tom Watts and nurse Kerry Schamp, both 36, chose not to go for the conventional white wedding cake and opted for a massive cheese burger, which would have made Elvis proud.
Zaks restaurant, an American style diner, from the bride and grooms home town in Poringland, supplied the 42lb beast of a burger in recognition of the couple's regular custom.
Three chefs were needed to lift the 'wedding cake' out of the oven so the happy couple and their 60 wedding guests could tuck into their dessert.
Tom told the publication: "It was so heavy I was struggling to hold it on my own but it tasted delicious. I got to marry the woman of my dreams and then I got to have the burger of my dreams the same day."
"It made the day even more special," Katy told the newspaper.
The burger came in at 18-inches wide and had to be made from a 400oz beef patty and cooked for three hours.
