Charlie Sheen marries in low-key ceremony

Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen married his partner Brooke Mueller over the weekend.

The Two and a Half Men star and his new wife exchanged vows in front of 60 guests in a private Los Angeles ceremony.

According to People magazine, Charlie managed to convince his bride to hold a low-key wedding, with a source telling the publication: "Brooke really wanted to walk down the aisle in a big way but Charlie insisted they keep it simple and small."

Prior to the event, Charlie had stated that he did not want male guests to wear ties as he wanted the celebration to be a casual affair.

Attendees included Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane and actress Rebecca Gayheart, who first introduced the couple two years ago.

The couple asked guest to make charitable donations rather than buy them wedding gifts.

According to E! Online, Charlie and Brooke are currently enjoying a honeymoon in Costa Rica.

The news provider adds that they are revisiting the place where Charlie proposed to Brooke last year, with a source saying that the area has "sentimental meaning" for them.
