Charlie Sheen rejects wedding gifts

Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen is following up a decision to ban tie-wearing at his wedding by also banning gifts on his big day.

OK! magazine has reported on a New York Times story saying the star has sent out invites which advise guests not to bring presents but instead give donations to the organisation Chrysalis.

Sheen is set to marry Brooke Mueller and has previously said he was banning ties so guests would be comfortable at the ceremony, according to Extra.

OK! reports: "The source claims that Charlie has been working with the Arizona-based Chrysalis group for several years."

It is thought money raised from the donations will go towards the annual fund raising gala.

Chrysalis aims to support people whose lives have been affected by domestic violence, offering counselling, shelters and other support services.

Sheen has starred in more than 40 films and was nominated for an Emmy award last year for his role as Charlie Harper in the hit TV series Two and a Half Men.
