Marchesa bridal dresses "a little more simple"

Designer Marchesa is to debut its bridalwear collection in shops this summer, reports Handbag.com.

The label, responsible for Coleen McLoughlin's wedding dress, consists of Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig and has been made famous by the likes of Sienna Miller and Anne Hathaway.

Coleen's choice of layered chiffon may not be to everybody's choice, but designer Chapman recently explained to Womens Wear Daily that she believes Marchesa has found a niche by designing a more casual gown.

"We have found a trend of women who wanted something a little more simple," she said. "Nowadays, there are women who are so used to wearing jeans and tops during the day that it's a huge leap to get into a dress and corset."
