Modest designs the latest trend in bridalwear
The latest trend in bridalwear and wedding fashion is very much centred on the idea that 'less exposure is more' in terms of wedding day style, according to the experts.
Bridal gown designers are seeing growing demand for wedding dresses that cover the shoulder, arms and back, moving away from the previously popular style of typical strapless gowns.
Wedding industry insiders suggest that this season brides are turning their attention back to more conservative designs that offer coverage but not at the expense of style.
American bridal fashion designer, Tova Marc said: "I designed a line of modest wedding gowns that are fashion-forward and trendy."
According to Ms Marc, fabrics such as silk, stain, lace, taffeta and chiffon are still in demand with modern brides in a range of traditional bridal shades of white, ivory and champagne.
For her recent celebrity wedding to long-term partner Ellen DeGeneres, actress Portia de Rossi wore a cream and pink halterneck dress designed by Zac Posen.
