1. Check that your marriage is legal

Some countries require for you to be a resident for a certain period of time before you can get legally married there. So check whether you need to have the official marriage registered in the UK before or after the blessing in your chosen destination to make sure that your marriage is legal

2. Get everything in writing before paying any bills

This sounds so obvious, but it is so easy for brides and grooms to get excited about the promise of their dream wedding day on a budget. As the old saying goes- if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. So do your research and agree every detail in writing before handing over your hard earned cash!

3. Embrace the culture

Why not to try a croquembouche instead of a wedding cake in France, Prosecco for your toast in Italy or a steel band in Caribbean? These little touches are what will make your wedding day unique and unforgettable!
