The Perfect Dress Expert:
Some time ago we had the privilege of talking to the amazing Amanda Wakely, whose dresses have been worn by the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Helen Mirren, and Kate Winslet. We loved all of Amanda’s advice. This was our favourite pearl of wisdom, on the most important thing for a bride in choosing a wedding dress:
“She should feel totally comfortable and confident that the dress is embracing and enhancing her and that her husband to be will turn to see the woman he loves not a complete stranger in a costume.”
The Perfect Photography Expert:
London based photographer John Nassari has been capturing weddings for over 20 years, and has had the chance to work at esteemed venues like The Savoy, The Landmark, and The Mandarin Oriental. John was the only photographer to be selected to take part in the Belgravia Wedding Quarter, so with his brilliant reputation we were thrilled to get his thoughts over on our blog on getting the best images to remember your big day. One of the best pieces of advice John gave was about doing a pre-wedding photo shoot:
“I highly recommend it. A good photographer will learn a couple’s angles and best features and an engagement shoot helps the couple to feel more relaxed and at ease with the photographer because they’ve got to know them before the big day.”
The Perfect Active Honeymoon Expert:
While talking to Claire from expert honeymoon planning company, Mr&Mrs Smith, she advised us on the best way to begin married life in happy harmony, starting with designing a honeymoon to make both husband and wife enjoy the holiday of a lifetime: “Think about what you both want from the trip – it’s likely to be one of the most memorable trips you’ll ever go on, so take the time to get it right. If your new Mr or Mrs wants to laze on a beach all day but you want to soak up some culture, make sure you pick a honeymoon that ticks both boxes.”
