How to Wed with Ted

Ted’s Tie the Knot boutiques are back, and with them a new collection of show stopping gowns, available to view by-appointment-only from 19th February 2018. The second installment of the capsule features five exclusive bridal styles, plus 14 alternative options and a curated mix of accessories, footwear and men’s tailoring designed to complement the whole procession in true Ted style. But before you dive right into dresses, there’s few things you ought to keep in mind.

GET AHEAD

With the return of his Bridal service to selected stores* nationwide, Ted is once again vowing to make your journey to the altar that much smoother. Aiming to take the strain out of the season, each private appointment gives your party the run of the collection, to be perused at your leisure and with bubbly in hand. It’s never too early to begin preparations, so book now (or forever hold your peace).

CRACK DRESS THE CODE

Rich, dark, and dramatic? Or soft, light, and summery? You’ll need to make some pretty big decisions before dressing your distinguished guests. Luckily for you, Ted’s Tie the Knot collection has the full spectrum: choose from pristine ivory, glamourous pastels such as dusky pink and mint green, or sophisticated shades of oxblood and navy.

A DREAM COME TRUE

With wedding dress shopping, much like finding true love, it’s a case of when you know, you know. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t keep a clear picture in mind of your dream find. To aid the search, try to narrow it down to a look or feature; maybe it’s classic elegance you want? Or a modern take? Does sparkle speak to you, or will you be taking the plunge in print?

TAKE IT FROM TED

When you finally make it to your first bridal booking, know that Ted’s stylists are there to advise and offer tasteful alternatives. This can be especially helpful when the sheer variety of choice overwhelms. Ted will never try to talk you into a dress you’re unsure of, but do keep an open mind; changes of heart are more or less guaranteed.
