From TikTok trends to celebrity recommendations, there’s no shortage of beauty treatments promising the ultimate bridal glow. But with so many options, and a wedding budget to think about, it can be difficult to know which treatments are genuinely worth investing in.

We asked Lucy from A Little More You Aesthetics to share the beauty treatments she recommends to brides before their big day.

Lymphatic Drainage Massages

“One of my favourite treatments for brides is lymphatic drainage,” says Lucy. “It’s perfect before your wedding to help reduce puffiness and leave you feeling refreshed. It’s also brilliant after a hen if you’ve enjoyed a few cocktails and are feeling a little bloated.”

Wedding planning can be stressful, so regular lymphatic drainage treatments can become part of your self care routine, helping you feel your best both physically and mentally.

Lucy’s Tip: If you're considering lymphatic drainage, don't leave it until the last minute. A course of treatments in the lead-up to your wedding allows you to experience the full benefits, with your final appointment one to two days before your wedding.

Skin Boosters & Polynucleotides

“Brides often focus on finding the perfect makeup artist, but beautiful makeup starts with healthy skin,” Lucy explains.

“Every bride's skin is unique, so there's no one-size-fits-all approach to achieving your wedding-day glow. While skin boosters are perfect for boosting hydration and radiance, some brides may benefit from combining them with polynucleotides to support targeted skin rejuvenation(such as under eye) or advanced treatments such as Profhilo Structura to restore facial structure and support. The goal is simple: naturally healthy, radiant skin that looks just as beautiful in person as it does in your wedding photos.”

Lucy’s Tip: These treatments require a course of 3, each spread 4 weeks apart, so best to start treatments at least three to six months before your wedding to give your skin plenty of time to achieve the best results.

Regular Facials

“Consistency really is key when it comes to skincare,” says Lucy.

“Rather than relying on a facial the week before your wedding, I will always recommend a personalised skin plan. Regular facials and, where suitable, treatments such as microneedling, allow us to improve skin quality gradually while targeting each bride's individual concerns.”

Lucy’s Tip: Healthy skin reflects light more evenly, which is one of the reasons good skin preparation & hydration makes makeup appear smoother and more radiant on your wedding day.

Don’t Forget the Basics

“Professional treatments can make a huge difference, but they’re only part of the picture,” Lucy says.

“Drinking enough water, getting quality sleep and making time for yourself during wedding planning all contribute to healthier looking skin. Self care isn’t a luxury when you’re planning a wedding, it’s essential.”

Lucy’s Tip: Your wedding day isn't about looking like somebody else, it's about looking like the healthiest, most confident version of you. The best treatments are the ones that enhance your natural beauty, not change it.

Thinking About Aesthetic Treatments?

“The best bridal treatment plan is rarely just one treatment, it's a personalised combination based on your skin, concerns and timeline. If you're considering any treatment, especially anti-wrinkle treatments or dermal fillers before your wedding, don't leave them until the last minute. Always book a consultation first and allow plenty of time before your big day, so there's time for treatment to settle naturally and, if needed, any adjustments to be made.” Lucy advises.

Lucy’s Tip: Always do your research, read reviews and book a consultation before deciding on treatment. The treatment that clients initially asks for isn't always the treatment that will achieve the best result, which is why a professional consultation is so important.
