We caught up with Huzaifah Bhuta from Paul Andrew Suits for expert advice on coordinating the entire wedding party, finding the right fit for everyone and the menswear trends to watch for 2027.
Start with your wedding colour palette
Before falling in love with a particular suit, think about the bigger picture.
“Couples should start by deciding on the overall colour scheme for their wedding,” says Huzaifah. “This will help narrow down the most suitable suit colours and make it easier to choose styles that complement the venue, season and wider wedding theme.”
For a summer celebration or a wedding filled with warm, natural tones, for example, beige and brown tailoring can work beautifully. For a more traditional setting, you might opt for a classic colour and introduce personality through different textures, waistcoats or accessories.
The aim is for your wedding party styling to feel like part of the overall look of the day rather than something chosen in isolation.
Coordinate, don’t just copy
Matching suits across the entire wedding party can create a smart, uniform finish, but it certainly isn’t your only option.
“Mixing and matching is a great way to create a coordinated look while allowing the groom to stand out,” explains Huzaifah.
“For example, the groom could wear a contrasting waistcoat with their blazer and trousers, while the groomsmen wear a full three piece suit matching the groom’s waistcoat.”
It creates a subtle visual connection between everyone while making sure the groom still has a distinct look.

Bring every generation into the look
From fathers of the couple to page boys, carrying the styling across different generations can make the whole wedding party feel beautifully connected.
“Dressing everyone in the same suit is a simple and effective way to create a cohesive look across the generations,” says Huzaifah. “Our matching father and son ranges allow adults and children to coordinate easily.”
You don’t necessarily need to match every element either.
“Matching accessories, such as ties, bow ties and pocket squares, can take the overall look a step further and bring the entire wedding party together.”
It also makes for some very lovely wedding photos when the smallest members of the party coordinate with the adults.
Dressing a big wedding party? Start early
If you’re shopping for one suit, finding the right size and style can be relatively straightforward. If you’re shopping for six, eight or even more people, there’s a little more to think about.
“For a larger wedding party, couples should choose a supplier that carries a wide range of sizes and enough stock to accommodate the whole group,” advises Huzaifah.
“It is also important to begin shopping early, allowing enough time for everyone to try their suits, arrange any size exchanges and have minor alterations completed if necessary.”
Fit is another important consideration. Rather than assuming everybody will need the same proportions, each person should be measured individually.
“Each person should choose the combination of jacket, waistcoat and trouser sizes that provides the best fit. Comfort is just as important as appearance, particularly when the suits will be worn throughout a long wedding day.”

“We are seeing a significant rise in beige and brown suits, as couples move towards warmer and more natural colour palettes,” says Huzaifah. “Textured fabrics, subtle checks and mix and match styling are also becoming increasingly popular.”
And it looks like those softer, earthy shades are here to stay.
“For 2027 weddings, we expect beige, brown and other earthy tones to continue growing, alongside more couples choosing coordinated looks where the groom stands out through a different waistcoat, blazer or accessories rather than wearing a completely different suit.”
The result is a wedding party that looks considered and connected without feeling overly matched.
